You will be deemed to be a criminal

If you fail to give them information they need, or you give them information that you know is false, they can take you to court and you could be fined up to £1000.

It is also a criminal offence if a person who is liable to make payments of child maintenance fails to notify us when they change their address. If they don't notify us within 7 days they may be subject to criminal proceedings and a penalty of up to £1000.

If they have told your employer to take child maintenance from your earnings through a Deduction from Earnings Order (DEO), you must tell them if you change your employer. You must also tell them the name and address of your new employer (if you have one) the amount you expect to earn, and your payroll or employee number (if you have one). It is a criminal offence if you do not tell them within one week of the date these changes starts from.

They ask you to clear any outstanding debt, call by calling 0845 713 2020. Saying they also  accept payment by credit or debit card.

We would advise that you never ever pay these bills by credit card, if you don't have the money do not be tempted to take on more debt in interest payment from your credit card company to pay these bills
